Bullying Has Never Been So Fun!

You are a brave knight who has been summoned in the King's darkest hours to be given a dire quest: His Royal Majesty's Pet Jesters have escaped! Those poor rascals can't survive out there all alone! Return them back to their cages, home safe and sound before sunrise! No don’t- don’t pay any attention to the header, your intentions are SO noble and true, pinky swear!

Jester Collector is a comedy Visual Novel with simple turn-based combat themed around a battle of wits (or more like a battle of petty insults). 

Despite the funny characters and bright colors, This game is NOT designed for small children. Jester Collector contains Crude humor, swearing and mild violence. 13+ is recommended. But what do we know? We aren’t your dads! 

This is an early demo for a much larger game in progress. We have released this demo in hopes of building a fanbase as well as receiving constructive feedback!

About The Devs:

• Nathaniel Tucker: Programmer, background artist and script editor.
• Damien Gomez: Sprite artist, script writer, Character Designer
• Kai Russo: Sprite artist, Character Designer
• Noah Black: Music and SFX

This team is made up of four friends who all met in college for game development. We originally made Jester Collector as part of GDC 2023, when we were all freshmen who were completely new to game development. For that game jam we wanted to make something simple and fun, but we didn’t intend to fall in love with our jesters the way that we did. 

Despite our hectic personal lives and college schedules, we are dedicated to seeing this game reach its full potential!

Plans For the Future

The story has already been planned and written out fully, we are currently in the process of creating art, music and coding the combat sections! The final game will have four jesters and at least three special endings. Our goal is to be finished within a year (Approx. October, 2025), but we have to keep in mind our busy college schedule, so this could very well change.
